Folly begins burning trees on island hit by fungus

The burning of infested redbay laurel trees has begun on Folly Beach. More than 100 of the island's popular redbays are dead or dying from laurel wilt, which is spreading to redbays via a fungus that clings to the ambrosia beetle. Read story.
